Very beautiful and very tempting, but then there is winter. I think about that pioneer cabin “near Crested Butte, Colorado” and what it must have been like to be snowed in for months, hoping you laid in enough food and firewood to make it to spring.
At the end of the day’s hike, it must be nice to make it back (in a car) to a modern electrified and gas-heated home.
